WHAT: Waitaki District Libraries in New Zealand just wrapped up a photo contest "Selfies in the Library," which was exactly what the name suggests. (Leapfrog to the winning picture.)

SO WHAT: The Facebook contest, in which every participant received a prize, was an attempt to engage young library users; ironically, earlier social media efforts had been successful, but mainly with senior residents.
